KONA -The adopting agency was certain Kona would never again be around other dogs. In public or at home. She had been mauled as a puppy which left her with severe aggressive anxiety. Even though we had never met, the new adopter called and said that she just knew I was the one who would help Kona have a new life. Turning her down did not seem like an option.
CHAMP - When we met this beautiful cattle dog he was completely in control of his people. When Hops didn’t want to do something he would just bite, and bite hard. He wasn’t sending anyone for stitches, but the arms and hands of his people had many punctures.
BENJAMIN - This poor soul was delivered in a crate. And he stayed in the crate. He had been in there for over a week and refused to come out. Not to pee, poop, or eat. Benjamin was LIVING inside this 24 × 36 inch space and no one could coax him out. What untold trauma could create such a mess?
BOWIE - Bowie was the worst I’ve ever seen. His trauma ran deep and I feared the cure might be too much. He was completely unable to accept human touch or the feel of a leash on his neck. A harness would send him into a tornado of repulsion. Watch what happens next!
